CAUTION – The use of original or altered filter mediums not specifically designed and tested for use in face masks and/or respiratory protection are not recommended. Such materials include but are not limited to HVAC, Furnace and other similar filter products. Nonwoven filter material must be sandwiched and sealed between two layers of fabric as the synthetic material can break down and shed microscopic plastics and/or fiberglass that are harmful to the respiratory system and skin.
The Slick Gaiter® Gaiter Mouth™ Filter Pocket is not designed or tested for functioning as the said sandwich material; therefore, should not be used for the housing of the said potentially harmful filter material.
Who should NOT use the Slick Gaiter® Neck Gaiter as a protective face mask: Children under the age of 2, or anyone who has trouble breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the Slick Gaiter™ without assistance should not use the Slick Gaiter as a protective face mask.
